I met Cleo at St. Francis de Salles Church in Belle Harbor. At the time, two weeks after Hurricane Sandy devastated the Rockways, she was still without power and had made it to the church to pick up donations for the first time since the storm hit. Upon arriving, Cleo saw that things were not running smoothly. She filled up a cart of food and blankets for herself, and then signed up to donate the rest of her first day off from work to volunteering. Here is a bit of her story.
